TRM Labs Reaches 1 Billion Dollar Valuation

Blockchain intelligence platform TRM Labs has completed a $70 million Series C funding round, reaching a $1 billion valuation and becoming the newest unicorn company in the crypto sector. The funding round was led by seed investor Blockchain Capital; Goldman Sachs, Bessemer Venture Partners, Brevan Howard Digital, Thoma Bravo, Citi Ventures, and Galaxy Ventures participated.

The company provides AI-based solutions against cybercrimes to public and private institutions. With the new capital, it will expand its San Francisco-based team by hiring AI researchers, data scientists, engineers, and financial crime experts; and develop AI-powered investigation and compliance tools.

BTC Phishing Scams on the Rise

Crypto phishing scams have risen again with AI advancements, but losses decreased: According to the Scam Sniffer report, they fell to $83.3 million in 2025 (from $494 million in 2024). In December, a Bitcoin (BTC) investor lost their retirement fund in an AI-powered pig butchering scam. TRM Labs’ growth will provide critical protection against rising scam threats to assets like BTC.
