Ripple Prime integrates Hyperliquid, offering institutional clients seamless DeFi access within a unified prime brokerage platform.

Ripple Prime has integrated Hyperliquid (HYPE), marking its first-ever direct support for a decentralized finance venue. This integration enables the institutional client to trade on-chain derivatives within the same platform as the other asset classes are being managed. Ripple Prime’s move is to bridge the traditional finance and decentralized markets efficiently.

Ripple Prime Expands Into Decentralized Finance

With the HYPE integration, Ripple Prime clients have access to Hyperliquid’s on-chain derivatives in addition to FX, fixed income, and other traditional assets. Michael Higgins, International CEO of Ripple Prime, pointed out that the platform offers centralized risk management, consolidated margin, and a single counterpart relationship for all trades.

The integration is enabling cross-margining for digital assets such as XRP and RLUSD, over-the-counter trades, and CME futures. Institutional clients can now efficiently manage positions in both DeFi and traditional markets on a unified framework. Ripple Prime emphasizes that this strategic extension will increase the accessibility of liquidity and operational efficiency to its users which are institutional.

Hyperliquid Sees Record Growth, Ripple Bridges TradFi and DeFi

Hyperliquid is a leading decentralized perpetual contract exchange, which recently reported having $5 billion in open interest and $200 billion in monthly trading volume. Its integration with Ripple Prime is an indication of an increasing institutional demand for on-chain derivatives.

Moreover, this move is after Ripple acquired Hidden Road, renamed Ripple Prime, in October 2025. It is intended to merge traditional brokerage expertise and crypto-native innovation.

By backing Hyperliquid, Ripple Prime is staking a claim to be one of the first companies to combine DeFi with traditional prime brokerage services. The platform now enables institutional clients to trade efficiently, generate yield and manage their multi-asset portfolio.

Ultimately, Ripple Prime’s framework provides regulatory alignment without adding complexity to operations for large-scale investors entering decentralized markets.

Industry observers note that the pace of institutional adoption of DeFi has increased over the past year. According to The Block, platforms that combine centralized counterparty support and decentralized liquidity can make portfolios of institutional capital 30% more efficient. Ripple Prime’s integration shows to be an effective way of dealing with these hybrid trading environments.

Ripple Prime Strengthens Bridge Between Traditional Finance and DeFi

Overall, Ripple Prime’s expansion into DeFi represents a larger trend of institutional involvement in digital finance. The integration brings a single platform where risk management, margining and multi-asset trading coexist, thus reducing the barriers that have been met with by the large-scale investors.

Such unitary solutions stand to attract more institutional participation in decentralized markets. Consequently, this could lead to even more growth in trading volumes and liquidity across crypto trading derivatives venues. Moreover, emerging platforms can benefit from higher capital efficiency and greater market adoption.

By providing direct access to Hyperliquid, Ripple Prime enhances its mission to combine traditional finance with DeFi innovation. This integration gives institutions an operationally simple and yet capital-efficient way of operating in decentralized markets, further entrenching Ripple Prime’s place as a leading bridge between conventional financial and crypto-native financial ecosystems.

Fed Decides On Interest Rates Today—Here’s What To Watch For

The post Fed Decides On Interest Rates Today—Here’s What To Watch For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Topline The Federal Reserve on Wednesday will conclude a two-day policymaking meeting and release a decision on whether to lower interest rates—following months of pressure and criticism from President Donald Trump—and potentially signal whether additional cuts are on the way. President Donald Trump has urged the central bank to “CUT INTEREST RATES, NOW, AND BIGGER” than they might plan to. Getty Images Key Facts The central bank is poised to cut interest rates by at least a quarter-point, down from the 4.25% to 4.5% range where they have been held since December to between 4% and 4.25%, as Wall Street has placed 100% odds of a rate cut, according to CME’s FedWatch, with higher odds (94%) on a quarter-point cut than a half-point (6%) reduction. Fed governors Christopher Waller and Michelle Bowman, both Trump appointees, voted in July for a quarter-point reduction to rates, and they may dissent again in favor of a large cut alongside Stephen Miran, Trump’s Council of Economic Advisers’ chair, who was sworn in at the meeting’s start on Tuesday. It’s unclear whether other policymakers, including Kansas City Fed President Jeffrey Schmid and St. Louis Fed President Alberto Musalem, will favor larger cuts or opt for no reduction. Fed Chair Jerome Powell said in his Jackson Hole, Wyoming, address last month the central bank would likely consider a looser monetary policy, noting the “shifting balance of risks” on the U.S. economy “may warrant adjusting our policy stance.” David Mericle, an economist for Goldman Sachs, wrote in a note the “key question” for the Fed’s meeting is whether policymakers signal “this is likely the first in a series of consecutive cuts” as the central bank is anticipated to “acknowledge the softening in the labor market,” though they may not “nod to an October cut.” Mericle said he…
