President Donald Trump on Friday lashed out at ABC News reporter Jonathan Karl, calling him a “third-rate news anchor” and urging supporters not to buy his new book.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote that Karl had produced “another made up book” before going on to slam fellow ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos.

“Third rate news ‘anchor’ Jonathan Karl of ABC Fake News, the worst and most corrupt Network in the business, wrote another made up book about me where his stories and ‘reporting’ bare no relationship to the truth,” the president wrote just before midnight Friday.
He went on to reference ABC’s prior settlement over remarks made by Stephanopoulos, telling his social media followers that the network “was already forced to pay me $16,000,000 because of their false and misleading reporting.”
“That was a Liddle’ George Slopadopolus error, but Karl is worse," Trump added. He then dismissed Karl’s book as “a waste of time” filled with “fictitious quotes.”
“Don’t buy the book!” he wrote.
